Before you open the entry (registration) process for your families, go through this checklist to be sure that all the setup necessary for entries has been done. If the required items are NOT done, the entry process will fail for families, leading to frustration and phone calls.
Please note below that some items need to be done every year, and some are first-year only because they will copy over into a new fair. You can make changes to these after the fair is copied, if necessary. Some items are specific to 4-H Online integrated fairs, or to county fairs integrated with state fairs.
If you want to have a print copy to physically check off the list, please download the "Checklist Before Entries" document from the attachment link at the end of the article. The "Getting Started Guide" is specifically written for first-year fairs, and includes some items that can be done either before or after the entry process opens.
