Custom fields can be created at any level of the hierarchy, and are a part of the entry process for exhibitors. The link to the hierarchy determines which exhibitors will see the question, and how many times.
- Questions set at the Fair level of the hierarchy are asked once of each exhibitor, the first time they create their exhibitor account.
- A question set at the Department level can be configured in one of two ways: it can be asked with each entry within that department, or it can be asked only one time when the exhibitor creates their first entry in that department.
- Questions set at lower levels (Division or Class) of the hierarchy are asked once for every ENTRY into that portion of the hierarchy.

Tip: If you want to create a Custom Report with the contents of the Custom Entry Fields, you need to know that the entire text of the question is going to be in the header row. So if your question is very long (Example Quantity Question: "Please indicate how many size Adult Large t-shirts you would like to purchase") that's going to be the header, and your spreadsheet will be harder to use.
Better Solution: Use a Content Block Custom Field to give the "long version" and then label your Custom Fields with shorter info. (Example: Content Block = "Select your T-shirt sizes and quantities below." Quantity Field = "Youth S")
