For Fairs that charge exhibitor or entry fees (or custom field fees), credit card fees can be a burdensome and expensive item. Often exhibitors prefer using credit cards instead of checks or cash. Transferring the credit card fees to the exhibitor allows the Fair to offer the convenience, without incurring additional expense. Only exhibitors who choose to use credit cards will be charged the fee.
Before you allow credit card payments, you need to have a Stripe account set up, active, and enabled for payment (Setup menu, Payment Integration tab). For more information on setting up a Stripe account, see Payment Integration and Stripe Resources
Important notes:
There is not an option for managers to enter credit card information on behalf of the exhibitor, for security reasons. Any manager entered registrations will automatically be for check payment only.
Because of rounding, a customer's credit card fee may occasionally be a penny more or less than the actual fees deducted by Stripe from the payment.
