Defined Sub-Classes: After your hierarchy has been uploaded with the departments, divisions, and classes, you can add defined sub-classes to the hierarchy. As you look at the Hierarchy menu, when you select a class, a scroll bar appears at the bottom so that you can scroll over to see lower levels of the hierarchy.
- You would add those sub-classes to your hierarchy by first selecting the class from the Hierarchy menu, then using the Hierarchy Editor tab to add a sub-class.
- Those defined sub-classes become the class that the exhibitor would choose when they make entries.
- There is a repercussion with Championship Lines on Custom Show Programs, in that the class-level lines only print after the lowest level of the hierarchy, so after each defined sub-class.

Show Classes: Although these also appear on the hierarchy under the Sub-Class header, they are created using the Class Breaks tool. The difference in appearance is that at the Class level, the word "Broken" in green appears to the right of the Class name, and at the Sub-class level, the word "Generated" appears in green.
- Exhibitors make entries into the Class, then after entries are checked in, the class is broken into show classes.
- Championship lines set at the class level for Custom Show Programs would print after each class (all of the show classes within that class).
