Note: The FairEntry Support Team does not support or endorse any QR code generator. This article is just designed to give you ideas about how you might use QR codes for your fair and exhibitors.
Maybe you have noticed that more and more events and businesses are using QR codes so that their customers can easily bring up a website on their mobile device.
Some places you might use that with your fair include:
- Your fair's FairEntry URL so exhibitors can quickly scan to start the entry process
- Your fair's Results page
- PDF files of your show catalogs or sale orders
Creating a QR code is relatively easy, and there are many sites that will do that for you. A quick search for "free QR code generator" brought up hundreds, if not thousands, of results. Some sites require you to sign up for a free account in order to use their solution, others may not.
Once you select the site you want to use, you'll basically be asked what you want to generate a code for--website URL, PDF file, Facebook page, etc.
Then you'll enter the URL or file, and the code will be generated. You can print out your QR code and post it wherever most folks will see it--the barns, the show ring, the fair office, or as an image file on a website.
