There are check-offs to be collected from the sale of livestock, then submitted to the appropriate organization. These can be entered into FairEntry to automatically deduct the check-off amount from the sellers' checks. For the most current information about the check-offs, see these sites:
Beef: https://www.beefboard.org/checkoff/
Pork: https://www.porkcheckoff.org/about/
Lambs: https://lambboard.com/how-it-works
Using Bulk Adjustments in the Sale portion of FairEntry can save you significant time in calculating and collecting the Beef and Pork Checkoff fees.
Lambs are assessed a Live Weight assessment and a First Handler assessment. The Live Weight assessment is based on the weight of the lamb, so it cannot be configured using Bulk Adjustments, and will need to be entered separately for each lamb sold.
The document linked below contains instructions for using Bulk Adjustments on Beef and Pork, as well as information about how to calculate the Lamb Checkoff.
