At the fair, you can mark entries as participating in the sale, and enter results so that you can set up your sale order to sell higher-placing animals before others.
NOTE: Be aware that team entries may cause unexpected results if entered into the sale. Each exhibitor in the team will be credited with the total bid amount, as well as add-ons. Example: If a buyer bids $500 on a team entry with 3 exhibitors on the team, the buyer invoice/statement will show $1500 due--$500 for each exhibitor. Add-ons work the same way.
- Mark Entries for Sale:
Sale Participation Status is editable from the Entries search (click View to see the details of an entry), or from the Check-in screen for an entry.
Click Edit by Sale Participation, and mark the entry Auction, Block Sale or Not for Sale. Entries marked as "Auction" will be included on the Sale Order. Entries that are NOT marked with any Sale Participation status will be treated exactly the same as entries marked "Not for Sale". - Enter Results:
If your sale order includes selling higher-placing animals before others, be sure that you have used the Placings for class and/or division results.
Example 1: The Grand and Reserve division champions sell first. In FairEntry, the Award title does not affect the sale order, so you must also enter “1st” and “2nd” placings at the division level for those animals.
Example 2: The animals are sold in the order they placed within their classes. Add a placing to each entry at the class level.
In the example above, if the Sale Order is configured to sell division top placings first, this animal would be the second item in this division to sell (Division placing = 2nd).
If none of the entries have Division placings entered, this animal, along with all other Class 1st-place entries in this division, would be listed first.
